What To Expect

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Transfer from your hotel in Bangkok downtown to the floating market takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. The Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak is among one of the most attractive floating markets in Thailand. Motor boat rides are already included in your tour! Many Thai and foreign tourists come here to absorb the atmosphere of Thailand water markets that have been like this for over a 100 years. At this floating market, you can try a number of delicious Thai fruits and foods such as sweet mango on sticky rice, freshly-made coconut icecream, and Thai-style boat noodle.

Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub)
The Railway Market is humorously called as the “life-risking” market! You will have fun riding a local train toward the Mae Klong station. While on this train, you will see the “Unseen-Thailand” experience. When the train signal rings up, the chaos will happen! Vendors will rush to detract their stall and clear away all goods that obstructs the running train at a great speed. Once the train passes, all shop owners will resume their stalls again.

Samut Sakhon
The whitish salt field, not a rice field, of course. A special bonus tour for our guests who join our floating and railway market tour in 2020. This sea salt is produced by Thai local wisdom. The salt farmer will rotate the sea water in different levels matching the strength of wind and sunlight. The rotation will continue until the salt becomes a “salt mountain” which are ready for cooking, skincare, and agriculture. On the Highway 35 in Samut Sakhorn province, our guide will lead you to rub the salt to your hand and take amazing photos!

15 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Coconut Sugar Farm
You will observe how Thai farmers produce coconut nectar and palm sugar loaf. You will see a demonstration of coconut flower cutting, pouring the nectar into a bamboo container, putting preservation woods in the container, boiling up and pasteurizing the coconut nectar into the drinkable one. You will try squeezing coconut milk from coconut shell using a traditional Thai “rabbit-teeth” wooden machine.

Honourary Australian Chaiya

Hey guys, my name's Wazzy. I'm with a few Sydney boys staying in Bangkok for a few days and we all really wanted to do the floating markets.

We were worried about booking online but Chaiya turned out to be incredible. We've had a few bad tour guides where their English and attitude leaves a lot to be desired but Chaiya was great. He helped us buy things, made sure we didn't get ripped off, showed us all the sites, taught us about so much history and culture just off the top of his head, and above all else he had a great attitude.

I should also mention he takes great photos. You can definitely tell he takes pride in it. Nailing all the angles, working our cameras without instructions, bloody hell he does it all.

Happy to say that I would recommend Chaiya to anyone looking to do the floating markets or anything else he's in charge of. We'll be giving our "went above and beyond for us" tip.
Amazing trip to Markets and sugar/salt farms

We had a fantastic private trip to the markets and sugar and salt farms. Chaiya was very knowledgeable and told us much about the culture and history of Thailand. Would highly recommend!!
Best Market Tour Ever with Lin!
Houstonteamee, 05-11-2022
Our tour guide, Lin, was beyond exceptional. Prior to the tour pick up was coordinated flawlessly. After the seemless pickup, we were presented with the itinerary for the day, that included visiting the railway market, the floating market and a tour of a coconut farm. Along with the experience of visiting these 3 areas, Lin provided us with knowledge of Thai customs, the culture and history surrounding the areas we visited. Additionally, she assisted in helping us find the best places to take pictures to capture a digital memory to accompany the experiences we went through. I definitely recommend that if you're ever in Thailand, take a tour with Lin. I will be back!
Wonderful

We were picked up in an air conditioned van very early in the morning at 6am. Lin was exceptional well versed in her tour. She guided us through the train market, the floating market and made stops on the salt farm and coconut farms giving us history and explanations on how and when things developed. She kept us on schedule but also allowed for shopping and breaks in between stops. She also took many pictures for individual couples to have as keepsakes of our adventures. I definitely recommend this tour and Lin, especially for the bargain they offer.
