What To Expect

Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub)

You will join a bus tour this late morning (at around 11:30 am-12:00 pm) and enjoy a comfortable drive for one and a half hour from Bangkok to Samutsongkram province. Your first stop will be the famous unusual markets, Maeklong Railway Market (also known as Rom Hub Market). It has a train running through the middle of it several times a day. Right down the middle and close enough to touch. Only in Thailand! Marvel at each seller quickly moves their wares via ingenious sets of easily-movable containers to avoid the coming train, once the train has passed it's back to business as usual.

Amphawa Floating Market

Continue to Amphawa Floating Market (only for weekends: Fri, Sat and Sun) for your second stop of the day. It is known locally as the city's second-most popular floating market. You'll have plenty of free time to explore the array of food, souvenirs, spices and clothes stalls that line the streets (and canals) of this unique floating bazaar. There are also some vendors on small paddle boats that cook and sell their food to visitors with a small table in front of those boats lines along the canals. Take a coffee break, eat a snack and enjoy the atmosphere.

Your local escorted guide take you to the pier and tell you to wait for your fireflies cruise at around 18:00 pm there. When night falls, you'll get a motor boat and cruise along the canal as you will see the villagers spend their daily life by the river. Amphawa is famous for its ecological environment which attracts a large number of fireflies to live here, if you are lucky enough, you will get to see fireflies in cloudless sky, lighting up the night along the river just like stars.
