What To Expect

Khlong Toei Market
First we visit the largest fresh market in the Thai capital, Talat Klongtoey, which is also one of the most authentic markets in the city. It attracts all kind of shoppers from street food vendors to chefs

from some of Bangkok’s best hotel restaurants. The market is almost like a small town inside a city with a network of stalls selling everything from fresh fruit, herbs and vegetables, meat, and insects to live frogs, ducks, chickens, clothes and countless other items in between. This local market is a great place to make some photos!

Baan Silapin
Located on the banks of Klong Bang Luang on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, Baan Silapin (The Artist’s House) is a hidden gem devoted to preserving Thai culture. Here you'll experience what life in Bangkok was like before the concrete jungle took hold.

The wooden house, over 200 years old and lovingly restored by its owner, sits at the heart of a small community of rustic shophouses which are connected by a wooden walkway that follows the edge of the klong (canal).

20 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Phra Pradaeng
From the market we take a tuk-tuk to Phra Pradaeng, the 'Green Lung' of Bangkok.

10 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

As soon as we arrive in Phra Pradaeng, it feels like we arrived in a totally different world. No high-rise buildings, almost no traffic and lots of trees and plants. Welcome to the ‘Green Lung’ of Bangkok! Still undiscovered by most tourists, here you hear the birds singing instead of the traffic sounds of busy Bangkok!

Typical Thai samlors (bicycle taxis or rickshaws) are waiting for us here to explore the 'Green Lung' or 'Bangkok Jungle'.

While sitting in the samlor you get a good impression how the local people live their life here, far away from the crowded and well-known tourist areas. You will get the feeling that Thailand's capital city is hundreds of kilometers away!

We ride along banana trees and coconut plantations, passing local houses on stilts and make a stop at a non-touristy Buddhist temple.

At a local restaurant we will enjoy a delicious Thai meal (Pad Thai – Thai noodles or Khao Pad – fried rice) before we continue to a well-maintained public park where we will feed the fish. If you’re lucky, you might see some of the famous residents of this park, the huge monitor lizards! Although they look scary, they’re actually harmless.

At the end of the tour your guide will assist you finding a taxi back to your hotel.

Amazing tour!

It was an amazing longtailboat ride, cruising along the Chao Prayah river and the canals of Bangkok. Very interesting to see Bangkok from this perspective. We also visited a huge golden buddha statue and the Artist's house.
Our tour guide, Ms Jum, took great care of us and was very informative. Very friendly and always smiling. Thank you Jum!
Thank you so much for this great experience and it's definitely 5 stars out of 5!
The boat trip was nice...

The boat trip was nice but the guide was way to hung up on tempels and religion.

So we used to much time there and went 1 hour over our designated time.
