What To Expect

Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub)
Pick up from hotel in Bangkok center will be at 06:45 hrs.

Our first stop will be the amazing Mae Klong train market, one of the most unique markets in Thailand.

Imagine a train going straight through a public market! It is exciting and fun to watch the vendors in a rush to fold and remove their goods and umbrellas away from the railway track while the train is passing by.

On the way to market we will also make a short stop at the salt fields where people still make salt in a traditional way.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
After we visited the train market we continue to a boat pier where we board a typical Thai long-tail boat for a small ride through the canals before we reach the world famous floating market of Damnoen Saduak.

This market is a place bustling with activity, crowded with boats loaded with fresh fruits and vegetables from surrounding orchards.

Don Kai Dee Benjarong Village
After lunch (included) we visit the Bencharong porcelain factory. Bencharong is a traditional form of Thai ceramics, well-known for its multi-color hand-painted patterns. The history of Bencharong can be traced back to the times of the ancient Thai Kingdom of Ayutthaya (1351-1767) where it was used as household items and decorations exclusively by the Royal Court and nobility. The word Bencharong derives from the Sanskrit panch rang meaning 'five colors'.

Wat Bang Kung
Wat Bang Kung is famous for the small chapel that is completely enclosed within the roots of a banyan tree called Bot Prok Po. It is almost like the tree itself is the pillars of the temple and that without the roots the chapel would fall down.
