The market offers a variety of Thai seafood, snack, and a sweet treat at a very affordable price. You can buy grilled fish, squid, prawns, steamed crab, and oysters from many shops along the canal. On the other hand, if you are a big fan of fresh fruit, you can buy lychees, mangosteens, and custard apples that are freshly harvested from nearby fruit farms here.

Lin was a great and enthusiastic guide! Ole the driver got us safely to and from each destination in an air conditioned van. We were 9 people in the tour group. My favorite part was eating noodles after the floating market tour!

Our guide Lin and driver Ole did an excellent job. The tour started early (6:30am) to avoid the traffic and heat.
Lin showed us the area around the train and floating markets, on the way we made a short stop at a salt field and a coconut farm.
We learned about the history of the markets and about the houses built on the canals.
We enjoyed the colorful markets even though most of the stands were selling touristy articles. The best were the fruit, vegetables and food boats since they seemed the most authentic ones.
The train ride was old school and fun and the breeze gave us some energy for later.
