Oh wow! This was my first time traveling solo, so decided to hire a local guide. I'm never going back to self guided again, even if I'm in a big group. Having someone who speaks the language and knows all the best transport, markets, food, and landmarks, totally changed the experience. So much less stress and time wasted staring at my phone for answers, with much more time enjoying the moment. We visited Lohha Prasart and another gorgeous hidden little temple (I forget the name), so avoided all the cliche stops I would have otherwise done.
