5/5, a day to remember

This was an amazing experience and I sincerely recommend this. The countryside is beautiful and the guide is friendly. The value/price isvery high. However, this includes some walking in quite difficult circumstances (on top of an elevated railroad). Hence, skip this if you have don't feel comfortable with the idea.

Ok but needs improvement ( cost)

The day was a great experience seeing the river Kwai bridge, JEATH museum death railway etc however we was surprised when we got there to have no lunch included when it states clearly on the booking that it is. we got hassled to go on a boat ride to go down the river just like a POW apparently! ( nothing will come close to feeling like those brave individuals did and I find that disrespectful to say) we didn’t as we are on a budget but the guide tried and tried. we then had to pay out our own pockets to get back to our hotel as the driver didn’t want to drop us off as it takes too long. this is fine but at least pay the metro fare we had to pay this coming back (The driver did not say a single word does he not speak English ? ) also don’t fall for the payment for a seat on the train it costs 200 baht you get a drink and a snack but we saw plenty of seats available it’s just a scam luckily we didn’t fall in the trap. If you do this tour stick with the original plan and don’t get add ons because that is how this company makes its money. But to see the river Kwai from Bangkok in one day this is probably your only option as train timings are very close. Have a shop around and see what you can find.
Slecht voorbereid
