Overview

Spend a day in and around Kanchanaburi, a town west of Bangkok that lives with a dark past amongst beautiful natural scenery.

This Private Tour will take you to the Allied POWs War Grave Cemetery and the JEATH Museum. Also during the day you will spend time at the infamous Bridge over the River Kwai, including taking a ride across it and part of the 'Death Railway.

Lunch in a Jungle restaurant is included and a stop will be made to the beautiful Erawan Waterfall, which will show you that this area is not only home to a tragic past that we must ensure never happens again.

This tour is a must, particularly for history buffs and those wishing to keep the memories of so many great soldiers alive.

Kanchanaburi War Cemetery
This beautifully kept cemetery is a peaceful and very well tended place and very moving to read so many inscriptions, so many of them naming loved ones left behind. A sobering but important place to come to and reflect on how much we owe them.

Erawan Waterfalls
The major attraction of the park is the 7-tiered Erawan Falls with emerald green ponds. There are also several impressive and long caves within the park, some of them deeper inside the park, few of them along the roads around the park. The park and the falls are named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology.

Leider persönlich eine Enttäuschung. Das Museum kann man sich sparen, zu lange Zeit auf dem Kriegsfriedhof verbracht und die Brücke ist ein Markt für Touristen. Es gäbe noch mehr zu sehen über die Zeit des WW2. Dafür waren die Wasserfälle die Reise wert. Tourguide war in Ordnung
