Overview

Our journey begins as a Chao Phraya River Express Boat takes you on a relaxing cruise north to the town of Nonthaburi. You take a short stroll in this village where you visit a local market. From here you board a long tail boat bringing us into a canal system unlike those found closer to the city. Peaceful scenes of rural canal life will transport you to a simpler, more innocent time, when the days passed slowly and the worries were few. After an hour, the appearance of rocket boats signals a dramatic change of pace. Instant thrills ensue as high speed manoeuvring through narrow canals will bring out the ‘inner child’ in all. Another long tail boat will bring you to a local restaurant where lunch will be served. Afterwards a transfer back by local transport to your hotel in Bangkok.

Fun tour of the rivers and canals

Great half day tour on the rivers and canals of Bangkok. Our guide Pam was friendly and knowledgeable. The boat travel was fun and a different way to see Bangkok and surrounds. I recommend this tour if you are looking for something a little different away from the Bangkok traffic jams.

A very specill trip....

Met at the hotel by tour guide Petch. Took us via taxi to first boat. This took us up the river to the long boat. Only two of us on this trip (we were very lucky) Over to the Bangkok canals. WOW!!! I mean this is stunning. The real thing (see photos) The guide went through history and the locals all waved to us as we went past. I'm sure there are not many excursions here it's so quiet. Then onto the fast Rocket boat. Smaller canals deeper into the jungle. After this back onto the long boat and out to a nice place for lunch, all organised by Petch. Following this she took us around the market and went through all the different spices, live food ect, very interesting and informative. Taxi back and we were done. A very special trip this, I can't recommend enough!!! Super organisation by the perfect tour guide.

It was nice to experience more of the local life instead of the busy city. It was an absolutely amazing experience and was led by one of the best guides of my 25 day trip so far.

This was one of the best tours we went on! Jill, our guide, was amazing. She went above and beyond, and insisted on even taking photos of us we otherwise would not have taken. She is very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about local culture, Buddhism, and about their temples. It was so much fun taking the different kinds of boats and seeing everything along the way. To top it off, Jill was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with.

Above and beyond wonderful experience

This tour was above and beyond wonderful and what we expected! Our guide, Sophia, was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and went out of her way to see to all of our needs throughout the day! Our experience had us being able to see life along the Klong canals, temples/Wats, and local markets. She was always making sure that we were satisfied and the food that we discovered was quite delicious as well. Sophia was one of the most accommodating guides that I have experienced in Thailand in the last three weeks of tours! I cannot recommend her and this tour enough!

Great experience truly off the beaten path

Super great tour with our guide Sofia, we took 6 different means of transportation, tested marvelous street food, and experienced the canals like a local. Sofia provided lots of interesting background information. Loved it!!

The real Bangkok

Been there done that in Bangkok so this trip was enjoyable because you saw and mixed with the locals in their environment.

The guide pick up us at the hotel lobby. Then we took the public ferry in north direction. Then we took a long tail boat through the canals. It was nice to see the rural life style ! We visited a small local market and a temple ( nothing special) in Nonthaburi. We also had the opportunity to take a ride on a speed boat. After we had lunch at a local market, very good and tasty food but you also can find it in BKK street food markets. After lunch we took our way back to the city.
