Great food tour. Knowledgeable guide with excellent food choices. Breakfast not needed beforehand… I felt like the tour gave us a good knowledge of the local area.

Best Food Tour in Bangkok

Our tour guide was Mod, and she wonderful! We walked around the streets as she taught us about the food, the customs and the people of Bangkok. She showed us food and Flower markets. We tried a variety of foods as we walking around the streets and took a ferry to the other side of the river. Mod is very knowledgeable and entertaining as well. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

We had the most phenomenal time exploring and eating with Mod! Cannot recommend spending time in this city with her enough. She's an incredible guide, and we're lucky to call her a new friend! Can't recommend enough -- but do come hungry!

The Real Bangkok Food Scene

Taking this tour of Bangrak neighborhood--a real vibrant community of businesses, schools, and homes--was a highlight of our trip. Yiwah is a first hand expert who grew up here. She was super knowledgeable and friendly and happy to answer and talk about all our questions about life in Bangkok as well as the foods we tried. She had a good sense of humor! The other tour attendees were fun and friendly, too. You will meet some neat people on these tours. At the end, I felt like I understood Thai and Thai fusion cuisine better. We had some great restaurants to go back to on another trip and I feel more confident about finding new ones!

I'm writing this a little late, but I was looking back at photos of my trip (actually in December 2018) and realized I had missed a review on this tour. This should tell you how good it was! This food tour was amazing! There was great explanation about the food preparation as well as the history of the city - and most importantly it was all delicious. Mod was a fantastic guide and I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a true local experience!
