Hidden Bangkok
fionaw145, 05-09-2022
Approximately a 4 hour bike tour cycling the hidden paths of Bangkok. It included cycling through neighbourhoods,a food market and some interesting temples…some street food included. Lunch in a restaurant by the canal and then loading the bikes on a long tail boat back to the start of the tour. Flat terrain makes for easy biking though there are a few narrow paths. Mostly pedestrian and scooter pathways…no heavy traffic.
The guide was good, talking about local customs etc. Interesting information without overloading you. It was hot though, but worth it.
Great tour!!

A very well spent and very comprehensive tour. Even for our sixth time in Bangkok we were able to see sides that we had not seen before. The guide was simply excellent and the lunch was good. It is highly recommended
Fun guide!

Well worth it! The bikes are of good quality, the guides are really welcoming and nice, the tour is fun, and you get to see a lot in a short time! You get to visit temples, markets, narrow streets where locals cook their food, a cafe, and a restaurant - where you have time for a lunch/dinner. As you go around, the guides are happy to answer any questions and gives you the backstory to different places you visit. Would highly recommend it!
Amazing!

The best tour in Thailand! Super authentic experience. Enjoyed the bike ride, snacks, and lunch! Highly recommended. Make sure you wear a pair of solid shoes, be prepared to sweat, and enjoy the ride!
great way to cover a lot of ground and see a wide range of sights

A coworker and I had a 9am bike reservation, and we were the only ones in this tour.
The booking experience was quick and transparent.
The pretour email communication was effective and helpful on ensuring we got there efficiently and on time.
The check-in experience was friendly and efficient.
Our primary guide Jobe did a great job. His guidance along the narrow paths and amongst foot and car traffic was safe and effective. He delivered just the right amount of information on Thai culture at our various stops so we had context for what we were looking at, but we had sufficient time to look around on our own. His English pronunciation was just OK and his delivery was soft, so you really had to listen carefully. The helper guide Kam had very good English and was friendly and funny.
The routes and some of the stops were "off-the-grid" such that you'd never had chosen them yourself or known it was OK to even go there.
The mountain bikes were in good working condition and they fitted them for us. They provided helmets and water. You need to be a fairly good biker who's comfortable holding a narrow track, navigating amongst obstacles and mounting and dismounting quickly. I never felt unsafe, but I probably would have if it'd been years since I'd been on a bike.
We stopped twice for street food snacks and then had a modest lunch at a canal-side restaurant - they took our orders ahead of time and the food was at our table minutes after being seated.
The long-tail boat ride back toward the Jamming office was an interesting view. Poverty juxtaposed with opulence. Those boats are loud - a Harley purrs like a pussycat in comparison. A big unmuffled diesel engine on a stick.
Highly recommended.
Love you guys !!

Was an amazing and fun way to see loads of different parts of Bangkok, perfect for us as we only had a short time to explore the city.

the people were so friendly and made us feel really welcome and looked after

I enjoyed the cycling tour very much. We had a great guides and cycled through little alleyways. Locals and kids were waiving at us. We made several stops and our guide was explaining a lot. The boat ride was a great new view of Bangkok. Overall a great experience.

I loved it, saw a lot of interesting and beautiful spots, with enough stops to enjoy and take photos of what you are seeing. Lovely experience on the water. Had a great time with the great guide Jobe. Thank you!
Be comfortable on a bike but have fun

Scott is a good bike tour leader.knowledgeable and conscientious. Bikes were ok but not too tier. Boat ride was great and lunch good too, right on the canal. Too much time spent in the food markets as tourists we are not going to buy. The visits to the temples were really crazy busy because of new year. A lot of tight maneuvering made it adventurous.
