What To Expect

Elephant Haven

06:30 AM Pick up from Bangkok and depart to Kanchanaburi. After a safety briefing on arrival at the project, you will prepare food for the elephants and then given the opportunity of meeting and getting to know the elephants. See the elephant walk to the forest while learning about elephant information.

After lunch, watch them enjoy playing in a mud pit. And participate in the activity in the river.

Walk with the elephants through the forest back to the main project area and take the final photos of the day.

3:00 pm - Depart Elephant Haven project and return to Bangkok

What a wild time was had by all. We had a good drive out to the country and a wonderful guide at the Elephant Sanctuary. My favorite elephant was Lamjai, because she was my age and couldn't be bothered, like me! It was so magnificent to see them in their natural habitat, enjoying the bath in the river, and walking right next to me. I could tell that these elephants enjoyed their lives and that was the best part. The lunch they provided was good.

Beautiful experience! Drive from Bangkok is about 3 hrs but this is so so worth it! Driver was punctual and pleasant. Upon arriving you are greeted by the elephants and wonderful staff. you start off by feeding them, getting to know their history and making their food. After, you accompany them on a pleasant walk along the river. You then have a delicious lunch then play with them in mud and swim with them if you like. elephants are sweet and appear happy abs well taken care of. You will not regret this experience.

Such a great experience. The elephants are well cared for and you get to spend a day doing their normal routine. Playing with them in the mud and swimming with them in the river was definitely a highlight. I recommend if you are in the area or have an additional day in Bangkok

You will not be disappointed with this experience! Please do not hesitate to book a visit here! Me and my boyfriend spent a long time looking into elephant sanctuaries in Thailand and this was one of the only ones we wanted to visit. We were staying in Bangkok and travelled 3 hours to get here but it was all so worth it! We visited for a full day. We prepared food, fed, walked, bathed and swam with the elephants. The elephants are treated very, very well and all the staff are caring and loving. Our favourite elephant was chopper who was very greedy! I can’t thank them enough for our experience. We will never forget this day for the rest of our lives, thank you x

What a lovely way to spend a couple of days. The guides and Mahouts at the sanctuary were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a great time from feeding and bathing the elephants through to the river floating. Don’t expect 5 star luxury if you stay overnight, as we did, but we had a good night’s sleep

A wonderful experience with amazing elephants and helpful staff! Playing in the mud, swimming and feeding these beautiful elephants were highlights.

This is NOT a tour, it is only a transfer with entrance fee. But do go to the sanctuary.

The elephant sanctuary is something I recommend to anyone. However, this is NOT a tour, it is only a transfer with entrance fee. The driver spoke no english and was silent the entire way. There were no questions about comfort, toilet stops, etc and it's a long trip. We had trouble when we arrived as the sanctuary had no record of our ticket purchase. However they sorted it out and the day was absolutely amazing. DO not miss the opportunity to swim with the elephants, it's a life-changing experience.
