She took us to Chinatown where we sampled a variety of dishes. Chef Hnoi was sensitive to my dietary preferences (I don't eat pork, which I'm sure you can understand presents significant limitations for me eating street food in an Asian country) and was sure to find food I could enjoy.
We had a mix of savoury and sweet meals and Chef Hnoi took the time to explain the components of each dish and how it fits into the Thai flavour preferences.
She clearly has a wonderful rapport with the food vendors in the area, who all greeted her warmly. One vendor even trusted her to manage his pot of doughnuts while he ran inside his home for a light.
My husband and I left really satisfied, not only with the food but with Chef Hnoi's excellent company. I truly cannot recommend her enough.
