Overview

Enjoy Bangkok at night on a 2.5-hour dinner cruise along the Chao Phraya River.

Cruise on a luxurious riverboat that will take you on a leisurely ride along the Chao Phraya River.

Settle into a seat in the boat’s comfortable, warmly furnished dining room, or watch the brightly lit Bangkok skyline glide by from the deck.

Cruise slowly along the river, passing under bridges and right in front of two of Bangkok’s most famous riverfront landmarks — the Temple of Dawn, known as Wat Arun, a Buddhist temple that dates back to the 17th century, and the Grand Palace, the official residence of the King of Thailand (and historically the King of Siam) since the late 1700s.

When you’re ready to eat, head to the large buffet of Thai dishes and desserts. Your meal is accompanied by a live band and other local entertainers.

Bangkok city river cruise dinner

great night cruising the river to see the sights lit up at night , food was buffet style with good variety of selections if you plan on doing these it is best to stay close to departure point as the traffic in Bangkok can be horrendous at the time you usually need to be checking in
Something for everyone!

Simply a fun time, with good food, entertainment, and probably one of the best ways to see Bangkok at night. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Overall it’s a great program but some of its cultural part to be modified.

Total event was memorable. Dinner, total management was super .But I have one suggestion.
-Cultural part was very much dominated by Cabaret show& also by the cabaret dancer..which seems to be little bit odd to me.Rather it should be a combination of Thai traditional dance ,music & partly by the modern dance& music Because both type( senior & junior) of visitors were there.
Pleasant Cruise, Great Food

A pleasant cruise. The buffet was surprisingly good overall.

The entertainment acts were pleasant, though one act clearly was lip-synched.

The waitstaff service was simply outstanding!!!! Thailand does this right!!

Suggest asking for a top-side, open-air table so you can actually see the scenery. Harder to observe from the interior cabins.

Downsides?
>> Be sure you recieve the exact name of the ship you"re cruising on. (Pretty sure we signed up for one ship, but got moved to another.)
>> We were on the White Orchid. The boat itself is very nice.
>> The pre-cruise wharf check-in experience was chaotic and disorganized, at best. Essentially, you find Asiatique Warehouse 7 and wander around until you eventually locate the cruise check-in tables.
>> Since NOTHING in your reservation documentation identifies the ship you're on, you stop at each cruise's table and wait while they consult their printed list. At each table there is a line to do so.
>> The bar code for check-in provided by Viator is meaningless. Isn't used by anyone for anything at any point.
>> The Viator customer service folks have absolutely no personal knowledge of the cruise ship or check-in location beyond "Asiatique Warehouse 7. " Fruitless to ask them for assistance in that area..

All-in-all, a pleasant enough cruise -- but the chaotic check-in process started the evening poorly. Viator needs to work with the cruise operators to improve that aspect of the experience.

Nice Landscape and we...

must do experience. They have variety of foods and delicious as well. Staff was courteous and polite. Music was awesome.
Decent cruise

It was a lovely cruise, but I was looking for more traditional dancing. They only had one short performance of traditional dancing. The food was decent, and the cruise down the river was cool.
Too short

The cruise itself was very pleasant despite the rain. There was plenty of food for all. It was disappointing that a 3 hour cruise only lasted 1 3/4 hours.
Nice views - shame about the food, Not so Authentic

Booked this in advance of arriving in Bangkok as we did not want to lose a day of not doing anything. The email instructions to collect tickets for the boat ride were confusing and not clear, as it stated 2 different locations, Redemption point and meeting point. Had to ring the number on the booking on the day to check which was the correct location to arrive at, then finally found table to collect ticket.
This was to be Asiatique Riverfront (Warehouse 7-8), which is located inside the shop/stall areas, however there are several operators selling boat ride tickets so you need to check which is yours, and also departing from same pier point but at different time slots (confusing).
The boat ride itself was okay as expected, buffet variety of local food and other but strange combinations and not so authentic, quite average. The entertainment was good although we could not really see much from where we were seated on upper deck, table no's allocate in advance and so many people!
Entertainment started with traditional Thai dancers followed by western singing by Thai lady (very loud, which took up most of the night).
Nice to see some of the sights lit up at night for a different experience.
Bit pricey for what it was, slightly cheaper if you buy at location, which is easily done if you go a day or so in advance.
Asiatique Riverfront (Warehouse 7-8) is a good location if you just want to wonder as it has eateries and shops (all selling similar tourist items).
