The tour was wonderful from start to finish. Hotel pickup makes things so convenient and I was very lucky to be greeted by such a wonderful guide - Tar. Tar spoke very good English and was professional, knowledgable, kind and generous throughout the tour - she really enhanced the experience for me. The drive from Bangkok was very smooth and both Maeklong Train Market and Amphawa Floating Market were very interesting and worthwhile experiences - if you like food, you will be spoiled! There was plenty of time to explore and no part of the tour was rushed. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend a day somewhere a bit different outside of Bangkok!

This was an amazing tour. Our guide, Jacky, taught me so much about Thai culture and Buddhism. The day was packed with activities : the train market, temples, an animal rescue, and my favourite part - a boat ride to see fireflies in the evening along the Mekong river. I highly recommend Jacky and this tour. Excellent value for money, it was over 10 hours long.

This was the highlight of our time in Bangkok! Our tour guide K’ Pla and the driver were very knowledgable and gave us an amazing experience! It was so easy with hotel pick up and drop off, we didn’t have to do anything but get ready to go! The train market was an amazing experience! So many different produce and interesting things to see, it was amazing to watch the market unfold as the train came in. The floating market was beautiful! So many different foods and markets to see and eat! Had a good amount of down time to just relax and enjoy the busy market. We also had a night boat that took us around the river to look for fireflies! We saw a few but unfortunately there wasn’t many that night. It was still an amazing experience. I cannot thank our guide K’Pla enough for the amazing experience and kindness!

Enjoyed it with a baby

A long day with a few highlights including the market itself and the amazing selection of food on offer. It's also doable with a baby, although travelling time is long. Our guide Jacky did an amazing job to point out all the interesting stuff, he was really knowledgeable and also helped us with our baby stroller on many occasions. We missed the floating boats, since they only come to the market around the weekend days. The firefly watching boat ride we would skip next time, it's not so exciting.

Koi was wonderful. Loved her stories and tips about the culture and markets.
In our opinion the railway market could have less time, as there really was not much to see. However Amphawa was magical and we could have spent at least a couple of hours there. Loved the firefly boat ride. Thank yoi!

Disappointed with the arrangement

Tour stated start time 1030am but in the end was informed start 12pm instead. Journey began 12+ as some were late. Tour didn’t stated visit to temple before Mak Kleong station.
After watching the train ride, we were given about 30mins to wander around the market but had to wait for 2 person to had their lunch at a cafe. In the end the rest of them ate there. My family and I had to wait for them to finish their meal and chit chat. Ridiculous as I was looking forward to eat at Amphawa!! Didn’t manage to have the boat ride and watch fireflies as time restriction.

Unmet expectations

Guide and driver were excellent. Communication on pick up times was very poor. Ads should be clear how long the trip out it…with the 5 pickups, 3 of which they had to track down participants due to incorrect pickup times being communicated, the trip out was more than 3 hours.
Once we arrived at train market, and at next two stops, timing was reasonable. But it was a VERY long day and we had some unhappy fellow travelers for a while.
I’m glad we had the experience, it would not repeat it with this company.
