Overview

A two day excursion, staying overnight at the River Kwai Resotel, which will incorporate time spent at The Bridge over the River Kwai, visting the POW Cemetary of Kanchanaburi, riding the train over part of the 'Death Railway' and going to Hellfire Pass and more. (01 Jan-30 Jun 2018 Hellfire Pass Interpretative Centre (the museum) will be closed for renovations, however, visits will still go ahead to the actual location to see Hellfire Pass. Excellent value for all that was included. Very nice jungle lodge along the river and boat trip to/from there. Interesting guided tour of sites, cemetery and museum related to POWs building the bridges and railroad to Burma for the Japanese.

This tour was excellent! Well organised and well timed so that it did not feel rushed, but with plenty to see and do. The overnight stay was excellent, well above the expected standard! The only thing I can mention that could be improved upon would be the return to Bangkok, as it could be timed better so as to not arrive during rush hour! Definitely 5 stars!

Was able to see where my late father was PoW in 1943/44. Don,t know how he survived. Well worth the visit.

My husband and I really enjoyed this trip. Have always wanted to see the bridge over the river Kwai. The tour was well organised and very interesting. Loved the history that we experienced. Hellfire pass and the death railway memorial was very moving. Accommodation and meals were very adequate. Loved staying on the river. All in all we were very happy with this trip.
